1972 - 1978: Head of Department at Music Centre Randburg High School. The music centre operated independently of the school. Management of the staff of 16 (part-time and full-time teachers) as well as all aspects of administration and organisation of the 360 pupils. Responsible for the marketing and promotion of the Centre.
1972 - 1999: Head of Department at Rosebank Primary School Music Centre. Music Centre of three teachers and 100 pupils. Administration and organisation of centre teachers and pupils. Responsible for the marketing and management of the centre.
1974 - 1978: Goudstadt Teachers Training College. Instrumental teacher. Implemented training course for student teachers to teach instrumental music in rural areas.
1980 - 1999: Permanent appointment - Solo Clarinet in SAPS Band. Head of section. Head of Chamber Group.
1981 - 1989: After father and mother passed away took over the running of D.M.V. Neaves (Pty) Ltd as director. This business was run on a part-time basis. Complete financial responsibility of the company. Budgeting and financial control. The administration and management of the employees. The marketing of the company.
1988 - 1999: Formed the SAPS Chamber Group. Responsible for the management and marketing of this group. Administration and musical arrangements. Protocol arrangements with state presidents office, government departments and diplomats. Function arrangements with private companies.
1990 - 1993: Part-time import agency. Visited Japan in 1990. Established line of credit with Japanese exporters for importation of koi fish and dry goods. Imported high grade and show grade koi fish for collectors and retail dealers.
1996 - 2001: Formed two cc companies to produce and market koi food and cat litter, locally and internationally. Aqua-Calm cc & Green Bay Packers. Responsible for production, distribution, accounts, marketing and development of new ideas.

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1947. Married Iris Marlene Hele in 1971. Two children, Jonathan Shaun Neaves and Nicholas Mark Neaves. Three Grand Daughters, Luca Neaves, Kyla Neaves and Sadie eaves.
