Meet the new Aquatic camera – called Ziphius!

Ziphius is controlled by a smartphone or tablet up to 300 ft away.  It has a HD camera to take pictures and video.  The camera can be tilted160 degrees, and it comes with an LED to enhance vision in darker waters.  It’s tip-proof, even in waves, and has powerful turbines that let it reach speeds up to 5.4 knots.  It has computer innards so it can autonomously play catch.  Ziphius can explore a Koi pond, a pool, or what’s off the vacation beach.  There’s even a DIY edition that can be turned into a drone for land, sea or air.

The Ziphius project was completely funded via Kickstarter in the summer of 2013, and the first unit are exptected to ship during the 2nd Quarter of 2014.
