I came across 3 excellent papers from the Advanced Research Initiatives for Nutrition and Aquaculture (Arraina Project).  The first one has a discussion of how feed is made, feed ingredients including vitamins and minerals required.  The 2nd one goes into detail about the micronutrients in plant based diets.  The 3rd one (published this year) discusses how biomarkers can be used to determine the performance of various ingredients.  If you are interested in further understanding Koi nutrition, these are a good read!  You can get the links to download all 3 by clicking on the title or picture...

Thinking of breeding fish and growing them out? This paper describes that feeding regimes most conducive to growth do not necessarily maximize reproductive success in the zebra danio.
