I’m Kevin Fuess (pronounced feese), pictured with my wife/best friend of over 30 years. We are both native (and still resident) Texans. My passion for water gardening began about 25 years ago when my wife gave me a small, preformed pond for some occasion that I do not even remember. She had no clue what this would ultimately become. It grew and multiplied!
I now have 6 ponds. My koi pond consists of 2 ponds with waterfall and connected by a stream. This is the home of 14 Koi (currently but always subject to change). The other 4 ponds are devoted to all the other aspects of water gardening: primarily water lilies both tropical and hardy as well as goldfish and other aquatic plants. One of the ponds was designed exclusively for Victoria lilies from the amazon.
During these past 25+ years I have been active in our local society, North Texas Water Garden Society and have served as an officer for at least 20 years, was one of the founding members and instrumental in the formation of the Texas Association of Pond Societies. I am also member of the International Water Lily and Water Garden Society as well as having participated in the Koi Health Advisory program prior to the formation of K.O.I. During the early formation years of the K.O.I. I was asked if I would be willing to participate in this endeavor. And here it is now how many years later? Yes, I am still here!
As an avid do-it-yourselfer my motto is: why pay someone to do something I can attempt to do myself!
